A group of C’Siders started playing table tennis back in February 2018 at Wey Valley Tennis Centre. This was made possible by a grant from Postcode Community Trust, arranged by Andy Millar of the Weymouth and District Table Tennis League who was our coach for the year. The Postcode Community Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
So a big ‘Thank You‘ to them and to Andy for all his help and advice.
All those who have taken part have enjoyed themselves and their table tennis skills have improved. The aim is to have fun while keeping active and that has certainly been achieved.
That funding has now come to an end but we have arranged a new venue where we will continue to enjoy our weekly term-time sessions. This is at Wyke Regis Community Centre at the same time, Monday 1 to 2pm, and we each pay £3 per session to cover the costs.
