The Dorset Macmillan Cancer Information project aims to ensure that people affected by cancer are able to access information in the right place, in the right way and at the right time for their levels of need.

They need help from us, as patients and carers, to understand cancer information from our perspective.  They want to know what could make our lives easier in our search for information.

They will be developing a Directory of Services, listing the various information providers in one place and making it easier for us to find the type of information we need, when we need it.  There is a recognition that we need information about many different aspects of life (such as financial issues, housing, employment, transport) as these are affected when we get a cancer diagnosis.

By completing this online survey you can help to give a picture of what is currently happening around cancer information provision in Dorset, providing a valuable starting point for the project.

The project team plan to visit us at C’Siders in the New Year when we will be able to discuss this with them in more detail.
