C’Fit Funding

We were really pleased to be awarded £2300 by Weymouth and Portland Borough Council in their recent Community and Voluntary Sector Grant Fund.  See the report in the Dorset Echo.
This will go towards setting up and running the new C’Fit exercise sessions for cancer patients.  These will be held at Osprey Leisure Centre and supervised by a qualified Level 4 Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation specialist.
Planning is in progress with a view to starting classes in early May.  The course will be open to any cancer patients in the area who would benefit.
It’s an excellent way to keep fit during treatment or to get back to fitness afterwards.
