The Cancer Matters Wessex website is aimed at all cancer patients, their families and carers in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
It gives general information to answer some of the many questions you may have at various stages during your cancer diagnosis and treatment. It also introduces you to the various members of the medical teams who may be involved. A wide range of videos is available letting you see, for example, the hospitals you may have to attend and the types of equipment which may be used.
This may all help to make the initial experience a little less daunting.
It also acts as a signpost to many other sources of information and support, both national and local.
Since its first launch it has undergone substantial development, so do check it out.
